The Second Coming of Cathy

I have been missing, if not missed, from blogdom. There are many reasons mostly to do with having too much to do and not having the energy to do it. However, as I decided when I started this blog, I am not going to let life's myriad problems suck the joy out of me ever again. Those of you who have read my poetry stop laughing please.

I have a new hobby. I am learning to paint and whilst I don't expect my efforts to be hanging in any galleries next to The Masters I am enjoying it .I've posted a couple of my daubs, they are both unfinished but knowing that you are kindly souls I thought it worth risking your ridicule just to let you see how easy it is. I've only had 3 lessons so I hope to be able to improve on my current efforts.

Those are some great efforts. I love Still Life ( only in paintings :) )

You did a great job on the paintings Cathy, but even if they didn't look good who cares as long as you're enjoying it. :)

I believe that both of your paintings are excellent! They would make wonderful addition to my walls.

Peace and shalom, my friend!

You have been missed. Don't think for a moment that you haven't been.

I love the idea of learning to paint. Thanks for sharing your efforts. Not bad for a new student.

I like those paintings very much. Remember with or without training, art is subject to perception.

Just think, Salvadore Dali's parents must have been pulling their hair out after spending all that money to send him to art school, and then had a gander at his work!

Psst. You were missed.

I've been AWOL myself. You are doing fine work. I just started a new template and plan to add you. Keep painting.

As an aficionado of peppers and green tea, I consider my search for the perfect post officially over.

I love these. Since I can't so much as draw a stick person in motion, I respect them, too.

Glad to see you back. I usually check your blog weekly, but obviously it's been a couple of weeks now.

Your paintings are very promising. It's something I'd like to take up when I finally manage to retire completely.

Shoot, I could do that well after three lessons. But I would have to take those three lessons about thirty frigging times.

I'd better stick to painting homes.

Have you gone missing again?
