Hope in Season

I woke up in such a delightful mood this morning
that I wanted to share it with the world.
So here are a few words and pictures
to set the scene for whatever will be...?

-------------------------

"Daffodils" (1804)

I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze...

by William Wordsworth.

Hope in Season

Spring forth new hope on frigid air.

Retreat now winter to your lair.
It is the turn of dancing feet,
A myriad flowers, aromas sweet
Their life and hope and lack of care
A gift of joy for all to share.

..continous as thestars that shine/& twinke on the milky way/ they stretched in never ending line/ besides the margin of the bay/When oft upon my couch I lie/ In vacant or in pensive mood/ they flash upon that Inward Eye/ which is the bliss of solitude/ & then my heart with pleasure fills/ & dances with the Daffodils.

A really wonderful poem, one of my favourites...
This is about a very profound experience...
After every profound experience we become alone..We fall from our periphery to our centre..& that is Aloneness [ not to be confused with lonliness]Vacant mood is the bliss of emptying the mind...& filling the heart. That is where true communion with the existence arises.

Nice job Cathy. I too, woke up in a good mood. It really hampered my ascerbic, sarcastic writing style today!! Cheers.

Step aside Wordsworth, Cathy's here. Lovely piece.

Mona, I am familiar with the premise and the sensation it is at such moments that we "understand" the true nature of our existence.
not with words in the mind but by touching momentarily our own true essence.

TC,lime and bsoholic,
you are most welcome and thankyou.

matt man, I,m sure you'll soon find something to gripe about:)

If I was half as good as wordsworth I'd be twice as good as I am, but thanks for the ego boost.

For winter's rains and ruins are over,
And all the season of snows and sins;
The days dividing lover and lover,
The light that loses, the night that wins;
And time remembered is grief forgotten,
And frosts are slain and flowers begotten,
And in green underwood and cover
Blossom by blossom the spring begins
